London: William Heinemann, 1895. 1st Edition. Red Boards. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 260pp. 10pp of adverts. First colonial edition - same year as first edition. Volume XLI of Heinemann's Colonial Library of Popular Fiction. Complete loss of the spine strip. Slight fading to the board periphery. Light soiling to one corner. Booksellers book stamp tot he head of the front paste down. and a little bleeding of the cloth cover to the inner hinges at the tail of the spine. A couple of page margins have a little finger soiling. Otherwise clean and tight inside. Neat ink name and date inscription ( 1896) to the head of the half title page. Otherwise clean and tight inside. A fair copy.
