New York: Harper and Brothers, 1895. First Edition. Cloth. Fair. First edition. Light beige/green cloth with flower decorations on the front cover. 242 pp., plus ads. A collection of short stories by Henry James, including The Death of the Lion, The Coxon Fund, The Middle Years and The Altar of the Dead. FAIR condition, ex-library with remains of taped down spine labels, and green cloth library tape reinforcing the corners and the length of the spine. Pockets, pastedowns and other library treatments in the interior. Cloth browned, with minor soiling, scuffing and staining. Endpapers with offsetting corresponding with corner tape repairs.
