Ticknor & Fields, 1866. Cloth. Good. Larger, very thick sturdy book, brown cloth with beveled edges, heavy and thick, with all edges gilt. On front it states "Farringford Edition." Title in midst of bright ornate gilt design at center front, with gilt trim to borders, same embossed design on back without gilt, spine reads Alfred Tennyson's Poems, Illustrated. Two tiny tears and nick at spine top edge, four tiny tears along spine bottom edge, very slight wear to top tips, slight to bottom. 553 pages. Profusely illustrated with tissue-covered engravings, detailed engraving of deserted rural mill at center of title page, quotation beneath, tissue-covered frontispiece of mature Tennyson. Good.
