England: Juvenile Productions Ltd. Very Good+ with no dust jacket. (1940s). Presumed First UK Edition. Paperback. Oblong Stapled Slim book in colour card covers. One staple just slightly rusting. Illustrated in full colour throughout. 20 pages plus covers. Ten in full colour, ten in tones of brown and oranges. Corners very slightly 'turned'/creased otherwise in excellent condition. Scarce - and even scarcer in this condition. No date circa later 1930s, 1940s/Early 1950s? . Now supposedly very Un-PC. The verse Ten Little Nigger Boys is now a part of History. A unique cultural item, part of the Americas' and the U. K's Black history/ Racism. A picture and rhyme book derivative of the folk song "Ten Little Indians", purportedly adapted by Frank J. Green. The rhyme became popular originally in minstrel shows for decades. The text the inspiration for Agatha Christie's novel of the same name, later retitled "Then There Were None". Beautifully illustrated in vibrant colour by an unknown Artist with the initials EC. A 'Must Have' for the Collector/Race/Black Historian.
