About This Item

New York:: Delacorte,, (nd - ca 1978, c. 1961). Hardcover -. Very good in very dark blue with gilt lettering on spine in a very good dust jacket (remainder spray, gift inscription, nick to spine of dj, corners of front flap clipped clipped.). Book club edition. Olsen's first book, this collection has only 4 short stories, yet the impact is powerful and lasting. The title story is one of the most frequently anthologized modern short stories, and "I Stand Here Ironing" is, I think, one of the most moving ever written. 115 pp.
