About This Item

Near fine. Beautifully designed 1934 lithographed advertising card for Le Telepherique de Veyrier du Lac d'Annecy, a cable car that opened for business on July 29, 1934 and remained active for 50 years, transporting more than two million passengers to the summit of Mont-Veyrier in the French Alps. The art is by Henry Reb (1883-1959), illustrator of many popular posters for alpine destinations. The design on this card was used on a poster. This small-format card is scarce. Measures 3 1/2 x 5 5/8 inches (9 x 14 cm). Near fine, with slight edgewear.
