Brown pebble cloth hardcover with ruled in blind on the borders with gilt patriotic illustration stamped on the front cover. Gilt lettered title on the spine. Cloth is chipped head and base of the spine and worn on the corners. Foxing to the tissue protecting the frontispiece. Interior contents are very clean. Previous owner name on the right front flyleaf. Contents cover political debates on various Constitutions and Acts, fugitive Slave laws, Slavery in the District of Columbia, Missouri Compromise, and more.
