First Edition. 93 pages, frontis, illustrations, light fade to edges, bookplate removal residue on inside of front cover, small sticker removal mark on front cover and a small discoloration on front cover, rear inside cover pulling from staples, inscribed by the author, "Presented to my friend Frank Caldwell by Capt. D K Taylor 304 Johanna Street Austin Texas Jan 13, 1929" In addition to Ranger tales with much on fighting outlaws and Indians, the author tells of his early years as a cowboy, hunting and eating buffalo, being caught in a blizzard, the bravery of frontier women, bear hunting, massacres of settlers and teamsters, trail drives, the Ku Klux Klan, carpetbaggers, and being a deputy U.S. marshal. Six-Guns 2183, "The author tells about some gunmen he knew, such as John Selman, John Larn, Clay Allison, and John Wesley Hardin. He also claims to have known Billy the Kid."
