Brown tweed boards with laminate covering; ivory tweed cloth overlay on the spine; brown and tweed lettering on the spine and front board; spine title outlined in dark brown. Tinted textblock top; clean internals; inner hinges are sound and not split. 303 pp 8vo. There are more than 300 tested recipes in this book that were culled from more than 2000 sent in by Texans. These recipes were all screened by the Home Economics Depart of the Texas State College for Women for preparation, flavor, texture, appearance, and storage characteristics. These are the best, most interesting dishes and beverages served by prominent Texans at home, at parties, and wherever good food and good cheer combine. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
