About This Item
Toronto: McClelland & Stewart, 1931. Hardcover without dust jacket, 324 pages;---this appears to be a library binding in patterned orange cloth with plain grey spine lettering (title and author only);---gently used ex-library copy with moderate shelf wear to all cover edges and corners, library rubber stamped numeral on copyright page and card pocket secured to free back endpaper, writing in ink on several different non-text pages, scattered faded old liquid stains from messy readers to 10-15 pages, overall a decent reading copy but perhaps not gift quality for your bestest friend in the whole world. . Hard Cover. Good.
Synopsis
A Tangled Web is a novel by L. M. Montgomery. It is one of the few books she published that was written mainly for adults. It centers around a community consisting mainly of two families, the Penhallows and the Darks. For several generations everyone in the Penhallow family has married someone in the Dark family. Aunt Becky has died and in her will left a prized family heirloom to a person to be disclosed in one year's time.
