Black and white plates. Mr. Smith always wrote in a cool, take-it-easy style while at the same time expressing exactly the true nature of the outdoor experience: friends and friendships reign over the day. The book is bound in light green cloth with gilt titles on the spine with gilt rules, and a gilt fisherman on the front cover, also framed with gilt rules. There is the armorial book plate of the now dead African big game hunter, Steve d’Arc, affixed to the front paste down; a little offsetting from the book plate, otherwise this is a very good book. .
