1926 NY: George H. Doran. First edition. Half cloth over brown paper covered boards, paper labels spine and front cover. 185 pps. with striking woodblock frontispiece and decorations throughout. A collection of folk tales from the mountain region of Kentucky, including "The Cat That Clawed To Heaven", "The Flea-Huntin'dest Night" and "Si Crooker's Fast Ferilizer". A tight copy, spine label creased and slightly darkened; shallow tidemark bottom of front fly. No jacket.
