Frontispiece by J. Shackleton to each volume excepting Daisy Nook Sketches. Publishers' red cloth with gilt and black titles and decoration, featuring floral motifs and roundels of mill shuttles; advertisements to lower boards. Spines lightly sunned with minor wear at tips; Waterlow slightly cocked and Out of Work a little shaken. Ex library copies with printed plates to each front pastedown and ffep; ownership inscription to front pastedown Daisy Nook only. Scattered foxing, heavier to endpapers and edges. A Good set. Stories by Manchester weaver and dialect writer Benjamin Brierley (1825-1896). Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
