First Edition. 362pp including a Roster of the AVG and acknowledgements. Illustrated with vintage b/w photographs. The book is very clean and tight with the autograph on Half-title page. The dust jacket is rubbed with some tiny chips along top of spine and tips. It is now in a protective mylar cover. Seldom does one have the opportunity to relive history unvarnished as it was being experienced. AVG Ace R. T. Smith's diary is incredible reading from beginning to end, offering a rare glimpse into everyday life and times of Claire Chennault's beleaguered little band of Flying Tigers who were always outnumbered but never outfought. .
