Dial Books for Young Readers, New York, 1989. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Friso Henstra. not-paginated. Red coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with wonderful full-colour drawings by Friso Henstra. Illustrated front cover, again by Friso Henstra, with black titles to the front panel and back strip. A little rubbing it to the book corners. Black remainder mark to the lower text block edge, mark has impinged upon both endpapers. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for underlying board, with black titles to the front panel and back strip. Rubbing and creasing to the dustwrapper corners. Fading to the back strip and there is a small split to the top right-hand corner of the the back strip edge. There is a gilt sticker that has been placed across the back strip region stating " Dial Library Edition ". The major damage to the dustwrapper is a tear that is in the centre of the dustwrapper panel measuring 3.5 ". There is associated creasing with this tear. " Summary --When the Caliph of Baghdad finds himself trapped in the body of a stork, only the evil sorcerer with designs on his throne knows the magic word that will restore the Caliph into human form." -- from the verso of the title page.
