About This Item

New York: The Macmillan Company, 1930. Hardcover. Near Fine. The book is signed by Gregory Clark on the front free endpaper. His bookplate is on the front pastedown endpaper. I suspect this is the Gregory Clark who was a Canadian war veteran, journalist, and humourist. "A reporter for the Toronto Star from 1911 through 1946, Clark gained fame in Canada for his coverage of various news events of the 1920s and 1930s, and particularly for his front-line coverage of World War II." The book plate has a hunting/fishing motif, and Clark was known to be an avid outdoorsman. Tight binding. No chips, tears, creases. Erasure of the number 10 on front free endpaper has left an impression mark. Brown coverboards with gilt embossed lettering. Black and white photograph on frontis showing author fishing. Illustrated with drawings and photos. Size: Sm 8vo (7.5" to 8"). 143 pp.

About Bibliodditiques

Thank you for visiting the home page of BIBLIODDITIQUES - specializing in children's literature, non-fiction, and rare and antiquarian books. This year marks my 12th anniversary in the book trade. I am a graduate of the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (2009) and a member of the IOBA (International Online Booksellers Association). I take pride in offering books that are of the same quality that I like to see in my own private collection. Books I sell must meet my own high standards of condition, which generally requires that the binding be tight, dust jackets be intact, and that there be no major defects. I do not offer books that are ex-library copies, unless they are hard to find in any condition. Customer satisfaction is very important to me. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and to send you photos of my listings upon request. Your patronage is greatly appreciated.
