The scarce early invitation for the Gilbert & George exhibition 'It Takes a Boy to Understand a Boy's Point of View'. 'It Takes a Boy to Understand a Boy's Point of View' was held at Situation Gallery, Horse Shoe Yard, Brooke Street, London W1 from November 20th - December 20th, 1972. 'I think we wanted to renew ourselves. We always wanted to be baby artists. Just as making the Naked Shit Pictures made us into different people. Someone said it looked as if we were being reborn in those pictures.' (George discussing 'It Takes a Boy to Understand a Boy's Point of View' with Wolf Jahn in 2007).
