Dundee. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1858. First Edition. Hardcover. Some rubbing to joints. Some loss of leather at ends of spine.; Marbled boards and leather spine. Page dimensions: 180 x 117mm. Marbled page edges. On the front endpaper Stewart has cut and pasted individual printed letters: "Alexr Stewart / Youngs Close / West Port / Dundee / 11 May / 1858". Also signed several times on the front endpaper. The first 25 pages are headed with individual customers names, and the work that was done for them, e.g. Mr George Duncan - Repairing Trousers - 1 s; Mr John Scott - Furnishing Moleskin Tros. - 8s.; Mr John Ambrose - Making Coat - 8s 6d.; Mr John McFarlane - Furnishing Coat & Belt - 2 £ 1 s. After page 25, the remaining leaves are empty, other than a few pencilled in pages of a religious nature from a later owner. [Seller Ref: KnightCol]; 8vo .
