About This Item

London, George Bell, 1843 1st. Hardback, approx 7 x 4 inches. In purple cloth with gilt lettering to spine, blind embossed decoration to boards and gilt vignette to front. In very good condition. Corners slightly bumped and edges slightly rubbed. Spine and boards faded. Some darkening to ‘endpaper’ with neat inscription “Rev. W. Watkins, Chichester.” Some slight darkening to main plate with a couple of tiny negligible spots. Some darkening to rear of cloth. Else very clean and tight. Very Scarce. Large lithographic plate backed on cloth. (20 x 26 inches.)
