About This Item
The sole issue privately printed by Peter Fallon, Loughcrew, Christmas in 1982. Only 125 copies were issued. A small booklet in original orange card covers with printed titling in black. 8 pages with sewn binding. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with just a hint of creasing at the edges and corners. 'The text comprises sections 74-75 of the subsequently published 'Sweeney Astray'. The narration (section 74) was revised for Sweeney Astray''(Brandes & Durkan AA11). The limitation does not state that this title was signed by the author on issue but this book has been double signed by Seamus Heaney : In black ink to the title page and also signed (without dedication) and also in blue ink at the end of the text. A very scarce publication, the first I have handled. Only one copy has appeared at auction and JSIC lists no copies held at institutions. A fragile production and I doubt all 125 copies issued are still extant. A handsome production which is protected in an archival folder. Ashton Rare books welcomes direct contact.
