The text is illustrated with 30 black and white drawings by Pam Littlewood and the occasional black-and-white photograph. Photographic paperback binding (wraparound) with white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. The ordeal following the ramming / sinking of the schooner Lucette by killer whales on 15 June 1972. Rescued after 38 days adrift. A little creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the edges and either side of the back strip. Light sunning of the back strip with age toning of the text block edges and fine spotting also present. Noticeable foxing to the first few and last pages of the book. First Penguin Publication.
