Philomel Books, 1987. Pictorial Hardcover. Very Good/No DJ Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. A presentation of poems, each accompanied by a circular picture with parts that can be moved by a ribbon to reveal a new picture. A reproduction from a nineteenth century antique Revolving Picture book by Victorian artist Ernest Nister. The book is painstakingly reproduced in full color and accompanied by charming period verses. 12 pages with 6 revolving pictures and all but one ribbon grip in fine working order. The fourth picture is missing the ribbon and centre tab piece. wihch preventss the picture revolving. O/W the book would be in near fine condition.
