Color plates (with tissue guards) from original paintings mainly by California artists including Thomas Moran, Percy Gray, Helen Balfour, Sydney J. Yard, M. De Neale Morgan and others; and duogravures from photographs. Large folding color map at rear. Striking pictorial dark green cloth in fine condition (small white marks on lower spine), an exceptionally nice copy. In this book, the author shares his California motor rambling experiences, giving motor tourists ideas of places to visit or provided armchair adventurers the thrill of traveling without leaving the comforts of home. This new revised edition was issued in a larger format from the first edition to correspond with the other issues of the popular "See America First" series and has been embellished with a new cover design and several new illustrations.
