About This Item
Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill Comp., 1922. First Edition first state. Very good+ in dark green cloth covered boards with gilt text stamping on the spine and front board. The gilt stamping is tarnished and faded on the spine but it remains readable and the cloth at the head and heel of the spine are very slightly rubbed. The sub-title to the book reads: " Adventures and Observations among the Native and Migratory Tribes of Florida, including the Stoical Time-Killers of Palm Beach, the Gentle and Gregarious Tin-Canners of the Remote Interior, and the Vivacious and Semi-Violent Peoples of Miami and Its Purlieus." This is the first state of the book. Only 4,790 copies of this state were printed by the publisher.
