There are a few small black stains to the spine and its head & tail are lightly chipped. 129 pages plus 3-page publisher's catalog. The pastedowns & endpapers are darkened & there is a bookseller's label on the front pastedown. The front edges of the front endpaper & 1 text page are lightly chipped. There are pencil markings & underlinings in the last 30 pages with a few pencil markings elsewhere in the book. Good. <p>From the library of W. P. Hamilton, who taught English at Princeton and was a Rhodes Scholar, with his signature and "Lincoln College, Oxford" penned on the front endpaper.<p>Raleigh writes about style in everyday speech and writing as well as in literature and other arts.
