Condition of hardcovers: Age toning, several pages creased (happened at the publisher's printer). Overall, Very Good. Book set has been stored in a temperature-controlled room; there are no smoke smells from cigarettes or cigars. Pages are clear, clean, very readable. Slipcase: Worn, tears to two corner panels, chips and abrasions, wear (from removing and replacing two heavy books), age toned; overall Fair. Here are two volumes, complete, with a new forward by specialist Havelock Ellis in 1937. The books offer a comprehensive picture of sex, including the evolution of modesty, auto-erotism, sexual inversion, sexual impulses in women and men, erotic symbolism, fetishism, sexual desire, love and pain, sexual organs, loss of virginity, and more.
