New York: Brewer and Warren Inc, 1930. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. About Very Good in a Good jacket, unclipped ($2.00), generally toned and rubbed, tape repairs at the corners and edges. Red cloth, a strip of staining at the bottom edge, with black ink lettering and designs on the spine and front board. Square and firmly bound, lightly foxed at the top edge, synopsis taped-in on the front endpaper, former owner's name on the half-title. The fifth Lord Peter Wimsey novel and the first to feature Harriet Vane. Scarce in any jacket.
