New York: Farrar Straus Giroux (1992), 1992. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+. 8vo. [14], 4-508, [6] pp. Half red cloth over black paper boards with gold lettering on the spine. Price of $22.95 on front flap of dust jacket. A nice copy of Franzen's second novel. Near Fine with a small concavity to the spine in a Very Good+ dust jacket with a few traces of edge wear and a crease to the rear flap.
Synopsis
Strong Motion is a 1992 novel by Jonathan Franzen, the author's second novel. The novel was noted by reviewers for its impassioned social criticism, the thoroughness of its research, and its treatment of controversial themes such as abortion, feminism, corporate malfeasance, exploitative capitalism, etc.
