Text is illustrated with black and white photography, illustrations and facsimile of documents. Black coloured boards with red coloured titles to the back strip the spine. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing a bridge, with green and red coloured background with white and black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Black and white photograph of author to the rear panel. On February 10th, 1962, two men were exchanged on a bridge in West Berlin. The men were Colonel Rudolph Able -- supreme Soviet spy master, and Francis Gary Powers -- downed U.S U-2 pilot. This is their story, and how the exchange came about. This book is an ex-library book: – Police College Library. Library stamp to the free front endpaper, too numerous pages of the book – right hand side and to the rear free endpaper. Library pocket still in situ to the rear paste-down. Softening of the back strip edges with bumping of the top book corners. Light age toning of the text block edges and pages with the text block edges showing a few marks. Creasing of the top dustwrapper edge with the sunning of the back strip.
