About This Item

London (Adelphi Terrace): T Fisher Unwin, 1926. Reprint . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 14th printing. 296pp with colour plate frontispiece and numerous further black and white, full page, line drawings in text. In blue cloth-covered boards blind stamped with decorations and titles on front and gilt titles on spine (boards generally worn, a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, with small abrasion mark on front board). There's a prize presentation plate on tanned endpapers, indicating that the volume was awarded to Fred Sims by Mantle Road School, in April 1927, some faint, scattered spotting on prelims, else internally neat and clean. A nice vintage volume of this classic tale for children.
