About This Item
New York: Negro Universities Press, 1969. Reprint. Brown Cloth. Very good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. N/a. 455pp. 1969 facsimile reprint of the 1890 first edition - authorzed edition. Hardcover - no jacket as issued. A lovely, clean, tight very good copy in original publisher's brown cloth boards - gilt embossed to the spine. Fold-out map to the rear. A bead of toning - caused by printer's glue (a usual problem with this publisher's series) running along the hinge between the frontispiece and the title and also running along the gutter of the rear endpaper. A very good, clean, tight copy.
