Philadelphia: The Penn Publishing Company, 1916 Green cloth, black title and cover illustration, black-and-white paper pastedown illustration. Tissue-guarded frontispiece illustration of men forming glass pieces is partially reproduced on front pastedown. Chapter head and five full-page text drawings. Intended for young readers. Irregular 1" x 2" portion of cover pastedown missing. Light rubbing and scuffing to cover cloth and pastedown. Small (1/4") spot to lower page block near corner; intermittent light marginal stains to pp. 9-32. Library marks: single spine letter; tiny catalogue digits on title page; bookplate and inkstamp to inside front cover; original "date due" slip (1917-1956) and pocket affixed to rear endpapers. Otherwise clean and tight.
