There is a signature from a previous owner inked on the front flyleaf ; The Gadsbys are a quirky, endearing family of nine children who love to spend their summers on their family's remote farm. One summer, the youngest Gadsby, Willie, falls in love with Dinah, the daughter of the farm's hired hand. Dinah is already in love with another boy, but she is determined to find a way to court Willie. Along the way, the Gadsbys must overcome obstacles such as the fact that Dinah and Willie come from very different backgrounds, and Dinah's father doesn't approve of her suitors. In the end, Dinah and Willie are able to overcome their differences and are married.; 32mo; 103 pages .
