"liquor-selling ruffians attack Railroad Man". This concerns the attempted murder of W. W. Smith, Agent of the Canadian Pacific Railroad Company at Sutton Junction and longtime President of the Brome County Branch of the Dominion Alliance. Gives the history and background of the case, the court actions and the "liquor selling ruffians" involved. Apparently an "American liquor seller" had hired a Marlboro, Mass. bartender to remove Smith.
