Pages and edges are clean, some browning to endpapers, tiny previous owner name in corner of front free endpaper. 351 pages. Clean bright jacket has very shallow chipping at top and bottom spine edges (1/4"), a few tiny edge nicks. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Story of a woman's devotion to a nerve-shattered author who was recovering from the wreckage of war in Storm House-by-the-sea, a woman so unselfish that she could not stand between him and his infatuation for another woman..
