Boston: Roberts Brothers, 1880 Brown cloth; gilt title and spine lettering; black ink floral cover decoration; decorated endpapers. Reprint; copyright 1879. Four pages of publisher's ads in rear. Tissue-guarded frontispiece engraved half-title illustrated with battle scenes. First-hand accounts of the Civil War. Moderate-to-heavy rubbing to cover extremities, with fraying to cloth at upper corners. Small, light, irregular fade patches, caused by margin of rear board. Vintage prior owner inscription on first blank endpaper. Clean and tight.
