London: George Allen, 1893. First Thus. One of three hundred copies printed on handmade paper. Original publisher's cloth stamped in gilt to spines and front boards. Measuring 250 x 195mm and illustrated beautifully throughout. Some soiling to spines andand boards; shelfwear and bumping to extremities with some splitting to the cloth at joints. Gift inscriptions from 1893 and 1949 to front pastedown of volume I and ownership signatures to pastedown of volume II. Offsetting and foxing to preliminary and terminal leaves, else fresh.
