This is a collection of seven short stories with illustrations by Charles Dana Gibson. First edition, early but not first printing (1911). About 5 x 7 1/4 inches, 204 pages, not including six b&w illustrations and four pages of publisher's ads. Tan cloth-covered boards with front cover showing a graphic design of balls, bats and tennis racquets circling title in gold with author's name in gold at bottom of cover above "1891." Boards and spine somewhat age-darkened and showing wear at spine ends. Text edges soiled and lightly foxed.
