Blue boards have gilt text front and spine, blind stamped edge decorative rectangle on front panel, four double gilt bands on spine. Decorative ep's show red transportation routes in BC and Alberta. Frontispiece: Baron Strathcona and Mount Royal, G.C.M.G., G.C.V.O. (Donald A. Smith) (1820-1914) in colour from the painting by Wyatt Eaton. Table of Contents, 7 pp., Illustrations 5 pp., 33 Chapters. Book is profuselly illustrated. Spine ends are rolled and spine has light vertical scratches for most of its length. 3 of the corners are lightly scuffed. Frontis verso carries sophisticated signature in blue ink. No other markings or notations in text block. Rear panel has dings. Three foldout maps: (1) Fur Trade Routes and the Canadian Pacific Railway (B/W), (2) Trans Atlantic, Trans Pacific and Cruise routes of the Canadian Pacific (In colour), (3) Map of the Canadian Pacific Railway, The Minneapolis St. Paul & Sault Ste. Marie Railway, The Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railway, The Spokane International Railway, Northern Alberta Railways and Connections. 409 pp. plus: Bibliography, Index. Price clipped DJ is much chipped, has interior tape repair the length of the spine and the front flap fold. Rear panel carries Nakash Photo of author.
