London: Heinemann, 1977. Very Good. FIRST EDITION. 8vo. Green cloth, gilt lettering to spine. Slight lean to spine, pushing to heel, edges spotted, uneven off-setting to feps, with faint bleed-through to adjacent pages. Else, clean and tight. In the original dust jacket: edgewear and light creasing, laminate separating at bottom edges, a couple of closed tears, flaps toned and foxed. A good+ copy of Scott's Booker Prize-winning novel of 1977, the fifth addition to his Raj Quartet.
