Honolulu: Charles E. Hitchcock, Printer, Government Press, 1846. First edition. 8vo, 382 pp. Nicely bound in contemporary style calf with gilt edges. Some foxing and some ink burn affecting the top edge of the last few pages (not touching the text). One of 750 copies printed of the English-language edition. the title page indicates this is Volume I; Volume 2 would be published in 1847. 750 copies were printed and only a single copy has appeared in the auction records since 1950. "This document marks the formal establishment of a codified system of government in Hawaii" Forbes, 1599.
