Toronto: Collins. Very Good in Fair dust jacket. 1946. Hardcover. 310 p. 21 cm. Copyright date only. Sound and square binding in rust coloured, cloth-covered boards. Bottom corners lightly bumped. Some wear to head of spine. Top edge dusty. Gift inscription dated 1946 on front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has edge and corner wear, with a split to the front flap fold. Spine is quite faded. Chips along the edges. Price-clipped. A Canadian edition of Roderick Haig-Brown's first adventure story for boys (and girls!). Tells the tale of a boy who goes to live alone in the British Columbia woods and how he survives. Black and white illustrations at chapter heads and several full pages. .
