From Wikipedia: "Tim Jeal (born 27 January 1945 in London, England) is a British novelist, and biographer of notable Victorians. His publications include biographies of David Livingstone (1973), Robert Baden-Powell (1989), and Henry Morton Stanley (2007). Jeal was formally educated in London and Oxford, and lives in North London. Sir Henry Morton Stanley GCB (born John Rowlands; 28 January 1841 10 May 1904) was a Welsh journalist and explorer famous for his exploration of central Africa and his search for missionary and explorer David Livingstone. Upon finding Livingstone, Stanley reportedly asked, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume? " Stanley is also known for his search for the source of the Nile, his work in and development of the Congo Basin region in association with King Leopold II of the Belgians and for commanding the Emin Pasha Relief Expedition. He was knighted in 1899."
