Illustrated, with a diagram of the horse's body and several in-text vignettes. Written by George Kirkpatrick Ansell, a lieutenant-colonel in the 5th Dragoon Guards.  The second edition of this work.This work looks at grooming, feeding, watering, bedding, stable fittings, care of saddlery, shoeing bridling, saddling and many other duties regarding the care of horses. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, very smart with minor marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional light spots to pages. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
