BF6 - A tight, clean, sound copy with minor overall shelf wear with some tape staining on the outside surfaces of the front and back boards and on the front and back free endpapers from where the dust jacket endflaps were taped to the boards plus there are some small glue spots and paper residue on the front and back fixed endpapers from where an older library mylar sleeve was glued to the endpapers plus there are the usual library stamps, embossed seal, label, and pocket on the top and bottom outside paper edges, the title page, the copyright page, and the back free endpaper plus there is some light soiling and yellowing on the outside paper edges plus the book is very, very slightly shelf cocked. The dust jacket shows very minor overall shelf wear plus it is still in the original library mylar sleeve. Translated from the Swedish by Joan Bulman. The story of a master double agent working for the Soviet espionage system during the Cold War until he was arrested and convicted in 1963. It is about a Swedish Air Attaché, Colonel Stig Wennerstrom, who for fifteen years, five of them in Washington DC, fooled both the Swedish and United States Secret Serivce while the Soviets discovered and made use of a flaw in his character to uncover important information about American Strategic Air Force operations. 222p.. First American Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
