Octavo, first American edition, pp. 223, brown cloth boards with white lettering and decoration on spine, illustrations by Paul Galdone, bookplate on front pastedown. Trouble at Beevor Castle, with the usual complications and twists of plot and coincidence. Condition of this book: Boards have a minor slant, jacket chipped and torn. Jacket flap is clipped but the original price is still present. Leaves clean and tight, toning, images fine. This is the first USA edition. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
