Nice condition antique copy of "SPORTSMAN 'JOE'" by Edwyn Sandys. 1904 1st edition; The Macmillan Company; New York. The book features numerous full-page plates and in-text illustrations. There are three pages of publisher's advertisements at the back. The book is an outdoor/nature fiction story for boys touching on topics such as camping, fishing, duck shooting, hunting, etc.
Condition:
Clean covers and spine. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Nice interior - the pages are mostly clean with the exception of a small light stain at the outer edge of page 3; light foxing to the title page, a couple of the list of illustrations pages, and some of the illustrated plates (and the text pages before/after them). Pages 20/21 have light staining/foxing(?) at the outer edge. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
