New York: The Macmillan Company, 1954. First edition of this historical novel based in French history. Blue cloth with black cloth spine, illustrated dustjacket. The book has little wear but has a scattering of bright white speckles to the blue portion of the cloth and not the black, good hinges, sound text block, minor foxing to outer edges, clean pages free from names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket has some edge rubbing and a couple of minor scuffs, little paper loss.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
