A very rare first edition original drab card boards with price one guinea in boards at the top of front board with the title page copied upon it now all very grubby, one might assume it has lain in a workshop for most of its life, new matching spine has been profesionaly replaced, contents are clean and tight the fpd has a previous owners name in blue indelible pencil, the same name in pencil of top of title page the rear pd has notes in pencil about different timbers, 86 rough cut pages with six copper engraved full page plates with tissue guards& most pages have small illustrations of work , no were does the autors name appear at the rear bound in is a general sketch of contents about another book by Holtzapffel 14pp. . First Edition. Card Covers . Good. Illus. by Illustrated with Diagrams. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" Tall Slim.
