From the Canadian Pacific Railway Foundation Library, with authenticating logo stamped on flyleaf. Red cloth over stiff card covers with gold lettering on cover and spine. No wear to covers or spine. Mild sunning to spine, lettering dulled. Binding square and sound. First published June 1932, this revised 1937 edition was prepared specifically for the CPR. "The CPR Foundation Library was published exclusively for employee use. The books in this series were not utilitarian work manuals but were intended to encourage CPR workers to improve their education or general culture. The titles published included books to promote worker solidarity and loyalty and to encourage habits of ambition and self-improvement." - Iain Stevenson
